New Hope is a non-profit child advocacy center in Blount County that provided comprehensive services for victims of child abuse, neglect and other types of trauma along with their non-offending family members/caregivers. Services include: case coordination, CPIT coordination, 24/7 crisis/on-call, forensic interviews, forensic medicals examinations, child/family advocacy & support, clinical therapy services, and prevention programming for adults.
Stewards of Children training is offered periodically at First Baptist Church. This free training is for adults who are interested in learning how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The two-hour training teaches five steps every adult can take to reduce the incident of child sexual abuse.
