MARK HUSSUNG | TAPESTRY SERVICE WORSHIP PASTOR

Mark Hussung came to First Baptist in January of 2023 to serve as Worship Pastor for the Tapestry Service. Mark has a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Cincinnati College/Conservatory of Music. He is a retired professor at Carson-Newman University where he taught students to play the piano and served as Chair of the Music Department.   

Mark and his wife, Rita, have three grown children and three grown dogs. When he isn't at First Baptist leading worship services or rehearsals, he enjoys growing things, and he isn't picky about what he grows.  Flowers, vegetables, trees, and shrubs are all things he is excited to plant and tend.  

Mark loves planning and leading worship and is excited to be part of the Tapestry Service.
