We are meeting in the Sanctuary on Sundays at 10:30am for Combined Services through June and July while Bill Booth, our Senior Pastor, is on sabbatical.. We will resume having two services on Sunday, August 10.

New Beginnings was established in 2022 to provide friendship, community, and spiritual growth opportunities for women in First Baptist Church and the Maryville area who find themselves alone in life’s journey.

It meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 1pm in room 207 of the Family Life Center, and it meets at other times as determined for social outings, meetings, etc.

We will open up the sanctuary each Wednesday afternoon from 12pm to 1pm for individuals to come and pray.

We appreciate the sacrifice of all those who served and lost their lives doing so. Our heartfelt condolences go out to their families. In observance of Memorial Day, our church office and gym will be closed all day.

Caregiver Cafe’ is a support group for those in our community who are caregivers—those who take care of family members and friends who suffer from chronic and terminal illnesses. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 9-11AM in the Snack Room of the Family Life Center. Participants will receive education, support, and companionship from the group, its leaders, and special guests. Due to the nature of this group, attendees should feel free to come and go as needed.

We will open up the sanctuary each Wednesday afternoon from 12pm to 1pm for individuals to come and pray.

All men are invited to join us for fun, food, faith, and fellowship in our FLC Snack Room.

We will meet for a Special-Called Business Meeting to vote on the proposed 2025-26 budget.

Hope Lifters is a bi-monthly support group for all those grieving the loss of a loved one.  It meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month in room 203 of the Family Life Center. The sessions are designed to help people process grief through education, support, and friendship. Since we all grieve for different lengths of time, the loss could have happened recently or in years past. The group is faith-based and open to the community. There is no cost to join.

We’ll meet in the Learning Center (above the breezeway) to assemble buckets of supplies to be used for disaster relief. You don’t need to bring anything, All the supplies will be provided. This is open to all ages.

Ladies Spring Gathering
Saturday, May 3, 2025, 9am-Noon in the Family Life Center

Ladies, in times of trouble, do you run to the phone or do you run to the throne? Come join other ladies for a special morning together with a focus on growing our prayer gardens.

Guest Speaker Betty McKenzie, member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church, Knoxville, will lead a session on strengthening our individual prayer lives. Also, Janet Hughes, a member of FBCM, will lead a session on planting small succulents in take-home glass coffee cups (all materials provided at no cost).
