New Beginnings was established in 2022 to provide friendship, community, and spiritual growth opportunities for women in First Baptist Church and the Maryville area who find themselves alone in life’s journey.

It meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 1pm in room 207 of the Family Life Center, and it meets at other times as determined for social outings, meetings, etc.

All current greeters plus anyone interested in serving as a greeter are invited to this training on Sunday, March 22, in the Craft Room after the services.. We will have two opportunities for you to attend an Ash Wednesday service in the Sanctuary on Wednesday, Feb. 18th—noon and 6pm. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent. The ashes, made from the previous year’s Palm Sunday leaves, are spread in a cross pattern on our foreheads as a symbol for our grief for sin which separates us from God. Lent is a season of penance, reflection, and fasting which prepares us for Christ’s Resurrection on Easter Sunday through which we attain redemption.
