Spring Church Workday
We believe that a clean and welcoming space is essential for our community to gather in faith and fellowship. We invite all members to participate in our church property cleaning initiative. Greeter Ministry Training
All current greeters plus anyone interested in serving as a greeter are invited to this training on Sunday, March 22, in the Craft Room after the services.. We will discuss subtle changes being made to the greeter program. Lunch will be provided. For more information, please contact Eric or Jaime Schmittou or the church office.
Caregiver Support Group
Caregiver Cafe’ is a support group for those in our community who are caregivers—those who take care of family members and friends who suffer from chronic and terminal illnesses. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 9-11AM in the Snack Room of the Family Life Center. Participants will receive education, support, and companionship from the group, its leaders, and special guests. Due to the nature of this group, attendees should feel free to come and go as needed.

Combined Service and Quarterly Business Meeting
We will meet together for one combined worship service in the Sanctuary. We will celebrate several baptisms during the service and stay for a Quarterly Business Meeting afterwards.

New Beginnings Women’s Group
New Beginnings was established in 2022 to provide friendship, community, and spiritual growth opportunities for women in First Baptist Church and the Maryville area who find themselves alone in life’s journey.
It meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 1pm in room 207 of the Family Life Center, and it meets at other times as determined for social outings, meetings, etc.

VBX Interest and Kids Ministry Leader Meetings
If you are interested in serving at VBX, please plan to attend a brief interest meeting on Sunday, March 8, after the services in the Kids Park. Kids Ministry Leaders are urged to attend and to stay afterward to learn about future security upgrades. Please contact Kids Pastor Nick Poole if you have any questions.

Ash Wednesday Service
We will have two opportunities for you to attend an Ash Wednesday service in the Sanctuary on Wednesday, Feb. 18th—noon and 6pm. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent. The ashes, made from the previous year’s Palm Sunday leaves, are spread in a cross pattern on our foreheads as a symbol for our grief for sin which separates us from God. Lent is a season of penance, reflection, and fasting which prepares us for Christ’s Resurrection on Easter Sunday through which we attain redemption.

Youth Bake Sale
Our students will have a bake sale on Sunday, February 1, in the FLC Lobby after the morning services. Proceeds from this sale will support the 2026 Youth Summer Mission Trip.

Joy Club - Soup and a Suggestion
Seniors, aged 55 and up will enjoy homemade soups and discuss plans for the upcoming year for the Joy Club. We need your input to shape the year ahead, so please join us and be part of the conversation. We will meet in the Craft Room at 11am. Please RSVP in the church office or at hello@fbcmaryville.org so we can make sure you have something to eat.
