DEACON ORDINATION 2020
WHO COMES TO MIND WHEN YOU THINK OF “SERVANT LEADERS” WITHIN OUR CHURCH BODY?
You are invited to attend the service to ordain and install our new Deacons for 2021 on November 8, 2020 at 5:00 PM in the Sanctuary. We will be welcoming back and installing Dolores Barr, Susie Epperson, and Carl Lawson as active Deacons and ordaining Doug Alexander, Kathy Alexander, Jay Hammett, Norma Harris, and Martita Lalasz as new Deacons.
Because of the COVID-19 crisis we will be modifying the service to replace the traditional laying on of hands with written prayers and words of encouragement from Church members to each new Deacon. Cards for this purpose will be available at our October 25 services. If you are unable to get cards, or wish to submit electronically, you may do so below. Everyone is invited to send prayers and words of encouragement even if you are unable to attend the service.
