UT Extension Offering “Life Down on the Farm: A Focus on Farmers’ Health”

Blount County, Tenn. Gather with us to increase awareness about how to gain greater appreciation for our farmers and hear the stories of the joys and challenges of farm life. Please help Blount County become a Farmer-Friendly Community.  After a complimentary dinner, we will have the opportunity to view a short film and hear directly from farmers about the highs and lows of farm life. Also present will be experts who will connect the real-world experiences of farmers to published research on rural and agricultural lifestyles. This should help us better understand the daily challenges of farm life. This is a free event open to the general public.

The Life Down on the Farm will be held Thursday, October 12th, 2023 starting at 6pm at First Baptist Church of Maryville.
